No offense to Jeremy Evans or Terrence Ross, but wouldn’t you like to see LeBron James, Blake Griffin, and Kevin Durant in a dunk contest? Heck yeah! The most frustrating part about this year’s Sprite Slam Dunk Contest was the simple fact that the stars opted not to compete.
But hoop fans got the next-best-thing during Sunday’s 2013 NBA All-Star Game in Houston when LeBron, Blake, and KD put on a show with an array of dunks that easily could have gotten high marks on All-Star Saturday Night.
Check out these rim-rattlers:
I’d give Durant’s reverse dunk is a 48, LeBron’s alley-oop slam (with an assist from Carmelo Anthony) gets a 49, and Blake’s monster throwdown off the glass gets a 50 in my book. Too bad we couldn’t see these dunks during the dunk contest. Oh, well. Maybe next year?
