Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee has so much raw talent that if he ever puts it all together he could be an All-Star. McGee flashed that incredible raw talent Saturday night when he rejected — more like snatched — Zach Randolph’s short jumper at the peak of his jump. It was one of McGee’s four blocks in the Nuggets’ 99-94 upset win over the Grizzlies, but it was easily the most spectacular. Watch the video:
McGee is a 7-footer with a ridiculous 7-6.5 wingspan, which is equal to the height of Yao Ming. He showcased that wingspan during the 2011 Sprite Slam Dunk contest by dunking two basketballs on two baskets standing side by side. McGee also has a 31-inch vertical leap, and is so athletic that he can dip a cookie into a glass of milk sitting atop the backboard. Now, he can just put together back-to-back good games then we’ll be talking about McGee as a serious force in the NBA instead of being a regular on Shaquille O’Neal’s “Shaqtin the Fool” segments on TNT and NBATV.
